  Set out at noon to my brother's suit rental appointment. He has a school ball coming up soon, so we're making sure he looks dapper on the day. I had never actually seen my brother in a suit before - think dress shirt, tailored pants, vest, bowtie, blazer and formal shoes - and the result was rather amusing. In all seriousness, he had appeared much more mature. I can't imagine the day where we all reach adulthood and have to dress in such a manner.

  We grabbed lunch at the Coffee Club. The salmon and avocado stack appealed to my appetite, as well as a mixed berry smoothie. Both were overwhelming delights. As described, the stack consisted of 'Atlantic natural smoked salmon and fresh avocado stacked upon a cage-free poached egg. Served with crisp ciabatta toast lavished with a light dill and cottage cheese spread.' Like whoa, who writes these things? Sign me up for this future job application.

  Unexpectedly, we had wandered around accumulating purchases. K-mart was having a summer clearance, where I picked up a pair of sandals for $5. Booyah, I've wanted some for the longest time. Plus, there's snazzy gold detailing on the back. I also grabbed a lightweight olive knit at Valleygirl for $9.95. 

  Can't wait for the road trip tomorrow. In the meantime, I'm winding down for a calm Saturday night in. Ciao lovelies x
